About Citizens of the World is a travel podcast with a honest look at the joys and challenges of navigating new cultures and countries. It’s a space for authentic stories, thoughtful conversations, and inspiration for anyone looking to see the world with an open mind and heart.

Challenge

The brand needs to appeal to young cultured audiences while being fun and lively. The challenge was to take the brand's message and create a visual identity portraying it while targeting their niche listeners.

Solution

Inspired by the bold, funky personality of streetwear brands, I incorporated elements that would capture audience attention with a fresh, dynamic style. We began with the color blue to represent knowledge and reliability. Then, added textured typography and illustrations to connect with a younger audience.
Work in Progess
We word-for-word translated "Citizens of the World" into an illustration that perfectly describes the podcast.
Reflecting back to Black experiences, I chose to incorporate the Egyptian sun hieroglyph, a symbol of the passage of time, to connect with the podcast's exploration of lived experiences in
this lifetime.
To add, I created icons that connect to travel with a style that resembles hieroglyphs.
